Terms of Use

By creating an account, accessing, or using Spek, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

You must meet the minimum age and legal requirements in your jurisdiction to use Spek. You are responsible for ensuring that use of skill-based paid challenges is lawful where you are located.

• You must provide accurate registration information.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must keep your credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized access.
• We may suspend or restrict accounts involved in fraud, abuse, or policy violations.

Spek offers practice mode and paid challenge modes. In paid modes:

• Challenges may require entry fees or stakes.
• Results are determined by challenge rules, submitted responses, and scoring logic.
• Depending on challenge setup, payout logic may include winner takes all or draw handling.
• Platform records are used as the source of truth for challenge outcomes.

You agree that Spek may apply anti-fraud, anti-collusion, and integrity checks to challenge activity and may withhold or adjust outcomes where abuse is detected.

Fees, stakes, and payout amounts are displayed in the app where applicable. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or reporting obligations related to funds received through your use of Spek.

Third-party payment providers may process financial transactions and are governed by their own terms and policies.

You may not:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, automate gameplay, or manipulate scoring.
• Collude with other users to influence challenge outcomes.
• Use false identity information or access another account.
• Interfere with platform security, performance, or operations.
• Use Spek in violation of law, including payment, gaming, or consumer protection laws applicable to you.

Spek and its content, including software, design, challenge structures, and platform materials, are protected by intellectual property rights. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, lawful use.

We may update, modify, pause, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and may perform maintenance or make technical changes without prior notice.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Spek at our discretion if you violate these Terms, create legal risk, or harm platform integrity or users. You may stop using Spek at any time.

Spek is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties not expressly stated, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spek and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from your use of the service.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Spek and its affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable law.

These Terms are governed by applicable laws selected by Spek, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the forums permitted by applicable law and as specified in your final legal version of these Terms.

Note: You should finalize jurisdiction, venue, and dispute resolution language with legal counsel before public launch.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated versions become effective when posted, unless otherwise required by law. Continued use of Spek after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
